Let me open with a radical revelation that you and everyone else under the sun already know: Congress is littered with fiends and sex criminals — like, crawling with them. These people flock to higher office like moths to flame.
Matt Gaetz, if he’s one of them, certainly isn’t the first and won’t be the last.
Jeffrey Epstein’s blackmail/amateur voyeur porn business was booming because the overwhelming majority of politicians to reach those levels of power are totally amoral criminals with dark fetishes. Ron Paul is the exception; Joseph Brandon is the norm.

Is Matt Gaetz into unbecoming kinks? Probably. But nothing he’s been accused of rivals, for instance, the alleged current president, who is credibly accused of rape by Tara Reade.
The end of that story is that the Brandon entity would ascend to the neoliberal throne 27 years later while Tara Reade would flee to Russia over concerns for her safety.
Because liberals love and appreciate women and their issues.

Tara Reade, who worked in now-President Biden's congressional office for a short period in 1993, said she wanted to stay in Russia after a Republican lawmaker told her she was in physical danger…
…Reade said she filed a complaint after the alleged incident, but no record of it has been found, and it's not clear if her allegations have ever been formally investigated.
A 1996 court document says her ex-husband mentioned that she'd complained of sexual harassment while working in Mr. Biden's office.
Reade, who called herself a geopolitical analyst, said in the Sputnik interview that after making her allegations public in 2020, she was threatened with prison, her life was threatened, and she was called a Russian agent.
Returning to the actual cause of Congress’ loathing for Matt Gaetz, it’s not the sex stuff; it’s the same reason RINOs despise MTG or Paul Gosar: namely, that he is one of the only Republicans in Congress willing to go office to office exposing his various treasured colleagues’ corruption and conflicts of interest.
