Dwayne Johnson Isn't Endorsing Biden in 2024. Good for Him.

So you may have seen now that actor and wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has expressed regret over endorsing Joe Biden in the 2020 Election and will not endorse him again in November.

Johnson told Fox News's Will Cain:

The endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was one I thought was the best decision for me at that time. And I thought back then when we talk about, hey, you know, I’m in this position where I have some influence and it’s my job then — I felt like that then, it’s my job now to exercise my influence and share with — this is who I’m going to endorse. Am I going to do that again this year? That answer is no.

Naturally, the insane leftists of Reddit are already stopping short of calling Johnson an Uncle Tom as an Afro-Samoan-American actor because he happened to have a different opinion.

Meanwhile, some on the right are happy because it signals how bad President Biden is that even people who endorsed him before do not want to do it again in November.

However, Mike Cernovich suspects that Johnson's regret over endorsing Biden, much like Bill Maher's willingness to be an honest liberal or Charlamagne tha God arguing against Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) (even though his argument was not good) is all somehow a "psyop" and we should ignore it (I won't embed the tweet because it has foul language in it).

I won't go that far, but my only real reaction whenever celebrities who aren't already known to be conservative like Jon Voight, Patricia Heaton, or James Woods say something that goes against the narrative or flat-out lean right sometimes is, "Huh, good to hear," because it at least means they're still human.

I didn't expect Dwayne Johnson to don the Red Hat of MAGA, but it's at least nice to see that even celebrities, who are all but immune to the problems we regular people have, are honestly seeing just how bad things are.

For instance, back in September 2021, rapper and singer Nicki Minaj expressed skepticism toward the COVID-19 vaccines, saying she did her own research ahead of the Met Gala and expressed wariness because a cousin of hers back in Trinidad apparently had complications from it, although she did endorse them as well.

A bit more recently, Colombian singer and possessor of hips that don't lie Shakira said that she and her sons did not like the "Barbie" movie from last summer, calling it "emasculating."

"My sons absolutely hated it. They felt that it was emasculating. And I agree, to a certain extent. I'm raising two boys. I want 'em to feel powerful too [while] respecting women," Shakira told Allure.

I personally did not hate it and felt there was a good message, albeit conveyed in an insufferable way, but the fact that Shakira gave her honest opinion is refreshing coming from a part of society where appearances are everything.

Of course, you're allowed to be more honest when you are that famous, and your opinion is still worth the same amount as anyone else's (meaning not much), but the fact that I'm writing about Dwayne Johnson saying he won't endorse Biden again in 2024 speaks just as much to how polarized society is.

The divide between left and right now is so deep and so vast that anyone with a degree of influence expressing any sort of opinion is quickly categorized as a friend or an enemy, even when we still expect them to say nothing and entertain us.
