So you undoubtedly know by now that the Supreme Court of Arizona ruled today that a law enacted in 1864, when Arizona wasn't even a state yet, that banned nearly all abortions remains valid, one day after former President Donald Trump said the issue should be left to the states.
As someone who is pro-life, I am happy to see that more states are affirming the right to life and turning away from the evil that is abortion. But unfortunately, as many noted, this could very well doom Arizona Republicans in November, as the Democrats and abortion lovers are already out in force wanting to defend their "right" to slaughter the unborn.
I wish it could be that easy to say there is no compromising with bloodthirsty maniacs like my boy Stephen Kruiser just did, but unfortunately, they have been very successful in capturing America's mind that abortion is a sometimes necessary evil if it means saving the mother's life or in case of rape and incest.
As my other friend Catherine Salgado noted back in January, 65% of young Americans support some restrictions on abortion. Fifty-four percent also said that human rights start before birth, and 75% "supported restrictions at or before viability, up 10% from 2023." She also noted that "Republicans need to act like the leaders they claim to want to be and take charge of the abortion conversation."

That same month, National Republican Congressional Committee Chair Richard Hudson said the same thing, noting that Republicans running for office need to figure out how to better convey their abortion messaging since the issue likely contributed to Democrats successfully convincing people that all Republicans want to throw abortionists and the women who receive them in jail.
"[Candidates] need to articulate their position to the voters, because the voters think the Republican position is like, ‘We’ll throw you in jail if you get an abortion... Republicans don’t have a policy problem. We have a branding problem,” Hudson said. “We need to point out that the Democrat position is abortion for any reason, up until the moment of birth, paid for by taxpayers. That’s extreme."
Hudson's not wrong. In February, I called attention to a specific case of how fundamentally dishonest the pro-abortion side is when it referred to a Florida bill (HB651/SB 476) expanding wrongful death lawsuits to unborn children as "the Abuser Empowerment Act" and said that it "opens the door for individuals who seek abortion care to harassment from their partners or ex-partners by allowing parents to seek damages in a lawful death action for an 'unborn child.'"
As I also noted, the bill did need serious work done before it could stand a chance in the State Legislature, but the main focus was on how shamelessly the pro-abortion side would distort facts in pursuit of keeping their "right" as the law of the land.
Overall, as much as the side of life doesn't want to compromise, America can unfortunately only be weaned off of abortion, rather ironically like nursing a baby rather than ban it now like ripping off a bandage so long as the pro-abortion side remains powerful and influential. If Catherine is right, the culture will swing back to our side, and then we can truly talk about ending this evil once and for all.
Until then, we need to keep pressing and convincing people so that day will come faster, and sharpen our ability to get the point across. if shock therapy is needed, I recommend showing people this.
