As if there weren’t enough great moments showing that George H.W. Bush is one of the most fun-loving, adorable former presidents! Three years ago he shaved his head to show his support for a little boy named Patrick, who was suffering from leukemia. The elder Bush shared a photo of the pair in July of 2013 showing them both without hair, with the boy sitting on the former president’s lap.
Bush, now 92 years old, shared an update about the boy, who is the son of a Secret Service agent, on his Twitter account this week. “Incredibly #thankful that my friend Patrick, the courageous young man (with hair!) to my left, is feeling and doing much better these days”.

George H.W. Bush and former first lady Barbara Bush likely hold a special place in their hearts for little Patrick. They lost their daughter, Robin Bush, to leukemia in 1953. The Bush family has taken their knocks over the years for various decisions made during their reign in the White House. However, the family has been involved in a wide array of charities over the years, ranging from hurricane relief with President Clinton to work with Covenant House and Heifer International. This is a nice cherry on the top of the cake!
