This attn: post suggests that millennials simply don’t know the basic life skills of adulting. They say “30% of college kids can’t boil an egg. 52% of teens kids [sic.] can’t change a tire. [And] 70% of young people can’t sew a button.” There are now pop-up classes aimed at teaching these Home-Ec skills. But the question this video, in addition to common sense, raises is why our school systems aren’t teaching them in the first place. Our kids will hopefully graduate knowing how to solve logarithms, and knowing about the Shang Dynasty of China, but will not know how to fold a sheet or prepare food.
