A new report estimates that more than 8,000 Nigerian Christians were massacred last year as violent Islamic Jihad continues to plague the country. So where are all the leftists demanding justice and an end to genocide? Why do they only care about the fictional “genocide” in Gaza?
Why is it that Westerners only care when Islamic jihadists claim to be oppressed? Why is there no empathy for Christians (or Jews) being persecuted and massacred around the world? All those leftists who shouted that Black Lives Matter evidently do not think that slogan applies to African Christians.

The Anambra-based International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety), an organization headed by Christian criminologist Emeka Umeagbalasi that has been very critical of the Nigerian government, reports that at least 8,222 Christians were killed across Nigeria from January 2023 to January 2024.
The organization relies on what it deems to be credible media reports, government accounts, reports from international rights groups and eyewitness accounts to compile statistical data.
Thousands of Christians were also abducted and hundreds of churches attacked (with some destroyed). Those guilty for the massacre include Nigerian security forces and especially radical Muslims such as militant Fulani herdsmen and jihad group Boko Haram. Nigeria is the most deadly country in the world for Christians. Other African countries suffering violent anti-Christian persecution include Sudan, the Congo, Cameroon, the Central African Republic (CAR), and Burkina Faso.

College students across the country, particularly at Ivy League universities like Harvard and Columbia, marched around their campuses and held events falsely accusing Israel of genocide and demanding a ceasefire. Democrat politicians including Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) have outrageously accused Israel of committing “genocide” in Gaza. The United Nations, infested with jihad-lovers as it is, also defended Hamas and vilified Israel. Outlets and entities that promoted accusations of genocide against Israel include TIME, Vox, CNBC, Amnesty International, and the Los Angeles Times.
Israel is not committing genocide, but my main point is that politicians, media, and citizens in America and elsewhere in the West displayed mass outrage about the alleged genocide in Gaza. Where is the similar outrage about the very real genocide against Christians in Nigeria, which has killed over 60,000 in a little over a decade?
Woke leftists and even some so-called conservatives don’t really care about genocide. The jihad-loving Gazans and their fellow Muslims worldwide constantly trumpet their fake propaganda to the world, which is why virtue-signaling Westerners pick up on it. Meanwhile, woke leftists do not care a whit about Christians, whom they always and everywhere consider oppressors. Wokies simultaneously love to ignore or downplay or deny Islamic terrorism. Until Gaza-empathizing Americans and other Westerners call out the attempted genocide in Nigeria, they are nothing but anti-Semitic, anti-Christian hypocrites.
