Woman Now Regrets Spending $8,000 to Look Like a Cat

The $8,000 is spent and gone, and Jolene Dawson doesn’t even look like a cat.

Jolene Dawson, a TikTok star or whatever it is people who get attention on TikTok are called, hoped that after spending all that money on painful surgeries, people would mistake her for the local tabby. Instead, she just looks like someone who has had a lot of bad plastic surgery. But the story of this TikToker’s attempt to make herself look like a feline is an object lesson for us all as the transgender madness continues, despite the best efforts of those who know that big burly guys have no business pretending to be female swimmers and winning all the prizes after finishing 78th in the men’s swimming competition.

In a story that neatly encapsulates the galloping madness and absurdity of our age, Jolene Dawson says that she is sorry now, and she most certainly is. The New York Post reported Saturday that she now realizes that she wasted her money, for even after getting pricey “‘experimental’ procedures to flare her nostrils and accentuate her cheekbones,” her brand-new nostrils and cheekbones still don’t look “much like that of a feline.”

No, kidding, really? You mean a girl can’t actually turn herself into a cat, no matter how much money she lavishes on the project? Well, knock me over with a feather. If only she had thought about this for a minute or two before diving in, but it’s far, far too late for that now. She has plenty of time to reflect now that the beguiling spell of appearing to all the world as if she were a giant kitty cat has worn off, and she “regrets” what she has done to herself, albeit still not so much because it’s stark raving mad as because of the “painful side effects.”

And there are plenty of those. “Over the course of her transformation,” the Post informs us, “Dawson claimed that her body began to ‘reject’ the filler as it migrated throughout her face, where it was not intended.” Wow, you mean her body actually responded negatively to getting filled with artificial gunk that had no business being there in the first place? It demonstrated a decided tendency to retain its natural appearance, and didn’t prove to be infinitely malleable to suit Dawson’s fantasies and proclivities? Why, who could possibly have foreseen that?

Besides all that, it hurt: “a new procedure involving barbed threading was so painful that she attempted to remove the filaments herself, leaving lesions and scars on her cheeks.”

One paradoxical saving grace in this whole ghastly story is the fact that Dawson didn’t do it all because she is actually insane and thinks she is a cat, although if she really did think she was a cat, the world is so crazy these days that there would be no shortage of people giving her cat food and setting out a litter box for her to use.

No, Dawson did all this just because she wanted to be famous. She admits now that she “never identified as a cat,” and adds: “I’ll be honest with you, and I don’t want to admit this, but I was just doing this for attention…. This was always intended to be a publicity stunt and I stuck with reversible options because I knew I wouldn’t want to look like a cat forever.”

That’s the good news. There was, however, another shoe ready to drop. Dawson continued: “However, I could have never predicted my body’s reaction to these treatments and the way it has changed the composition of my lower face.” Gosh, you mean all this ridiculous surgery might actually be bad for you? Incredible! She is now suffering “unanticipated side effects such as extreme acid reflux due to migrating filler through her nasal cavity.” This was because, she says, “I thought I could push it a little further.” That much is clear.

Dawson is on the road back to humanness, however. She has “had all her fillers and any additional implants removed, saying she’s ‘hopeful’ she’s on her way back to health.” And she is seeing a therapist in order to address her “need for validation in the form of public attention.” She concludes: “I’m well aware of how dumb this was. I have been in a lot of pain because of it. I just want to advise against ever getting experimental procedures, and any procedure for the wrong reason.”

All men who think they can and should get surgery in order to look as if they’re women, and all women who are thinking of going under the knife in the hope that they’ll come out looking like men, should take this cat lady’s words to heart.
