Kid Rock: 'Screw that Joy Behar B**ch'

Kid Rock built his empire on being incorrigible. The Michigan rocker has embraced rock’s seedy side unapologetically.

Let’s see how that plays out after his latest blast of bad behavior.

The faux political candidate appeared on “Fox & Friends” Friday. Naturally, the conversation soon turned to President Donald Trump. Kid Rock sang Trump’s praises, not unexpected given his right-leaning persona. He also dug into the growing divide between his fellow Americans.

He spoke passionately on the topic, making some salient points along the way. Only his “Kumbaya” mantra hit a snag at the end of his eloquent sound bite.

“I think the president is doing a great job with his policies,” he said. “I wish — you know, I heard you earlier in a bumper asking people what was their biggest concern and mine would be just the division in the country right now, it’s so hard for people just to get past that we can disagree and still be cordial with one another.”

“You know, and just talk about things without going for each other’s throat,” Kid Rock continued, and protesting everything and God forbid you say something a little bit wrong, you’re racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, this, that and the other. People need to calm down, get a little less politically correct. And I would say, you know, love everybody, except I’d say screw that Joy Behar b**ch.”

The moment summed up pop culture in the Age of Trump, no?

Co-host Steve Doocy forced a quasi-backpedal from the rocker, following it up with an apology from the show itself. Naturally, the rocker’s name hit the “Trending” section on Twitter. Behar addressed the subject on “The View” hours later. She invited him on the show to discuss the dust-up.

Behar’s antics on “The View” can be churlish, if not downright mean-spirited. That doesn’t excuse away Kid Rock’s gross comments.

Then again, he is a rock star, not a pundit or politician.

The fight could offer a moment similar to the one on “Saturday Night Live” involving then-candidate Dan Crenshaw. The military veteran, who lost an eye during a tour of duty, got called a “porno hitman” by “SNL” regular Pete Davidson.

The Republican congressman later appeared on the show, yukked it up with Davidson and proved he can take a joke. We all collectively cheered the unifying moment, but it didn’t impact “SNL” a bit. The show remains a cruel, one-way attack machine against Red State America.

The same will likely play out here. Kid Rock and Behar will make nice on “The View,” assuming he accepts her invitation. That show will go back to its crass, ill-informed political banter the next day.
