Belgian authorities announced Friday the arrest of the key remaining suspect in the November Paris terror attacks. Mohamed Abrini is suspected of driving the ISIS terrorists involved in the Paris attacks, and is also believed to be the mysterious “man in the hat” seen on CCTV before the blasts in the Brussels airport last month.

Eric Van der Sypt, a spokesman for the Belgian federal prosecutor’s office, said that Abrini was one of two people arrested. He identified the other as Osama Krayem.Abrini, a 31-year-old Belgian-Moroccan, had been among Europe’s most wanted and was considered “armed and dangerous.”
According to CNN, Abrini has a violent criminal record; also, his younger brother was killed while he was fighting for ISIS in 2014. He also traveled to Istanbul, Turkey, last summer and possibly to Syria.
Authorities arrested Salah Abdeslam, the alleged “eighth planned attacker,” last month in Belgium shortly before the Brussels attacks.
On Thursday, Belgian authorities launched a fresh appeal for the public’s help, releasing photos and video of the man in the hat’s escape route after he left the airport:
The attacks Abrini allegedly played a role in left a total of 162 people dead — 130 in Paris and 32 in Brussels.
