LPGA Bans Transgender Players

Way back in January, I wrote about Mr. Hailey Davidson, a man who went around LARPing (live-action role-playing) as a woman. Davidson won a women's golf tournament here in Florida.

If you remember, Davidson won the NXXT Women's Classic, which qualified him to play in the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA).

Well, that's not going to happen now because the LPGA released an official statement on the matter. The association declared that biological males who have gone through puberty, and I quote, "are not eligible to compete in the aforementioned events," per BBC Sports.

The BBC article noted that Davidson, who transitioned as an adult after playing men's golf in college, tried to get a card for the women's tour but failed after placing 95th in the LPGA's Q School (the Qualifying Series) second stage in October. AP News said he missed qualifying by a single stroke.

Mike Whan, former LPGA Commissioner and current head of the United States Golf Association (pro golf's governing body here in the States), said the decision to ban trans players was not politically motivated. Instead, explained Whan, it apparently came after a year-long study pretty much proved what we already knew: adult men are way stronger and faster than adult women, especially because of, you know, puberty.

"The LPGA has updated its gender policy for competition eligibility, effective starting with the 2025 season. The policy - informed by a working group of top experts in medicine, science, sport physiology, golf performance, and gender policy law - was developed with input from a broad array of stakeholders and prioritises [British English] the competitive integrity of women's professional tournaments and elite amateur competitions. This working group has advised that the effects of male puberty confer competitive advantages in golf performance compared to players who have not undergone male puberty," per the LPGA's statement.

And somehow, it took these geniuses a year to figure that out? They could have just watched Imane Khelif, Fallon Fox, Lia Thomas, or pretty much every other man who stole women's athletic achievements over the past few years and then realized, "Hey, maybe even golf can somehow be affected by this."

Davidson himself said in response on Instagram, "Can't say I didn't see this coming. Banned from the Epson and the LPGA. All the silence and people wanting to stay 'neutral' thanks for absolutely nothing. This happened because of all your silence."

Uh, no.

It happened because you are a biological man and have been one for the past 32 years (having gone through puberty as one). And only in the past ten years have you decided you are now female and should play golf with biological women while still retaining the advantages that growing up into an adult man has given you.

Anyway, it's always good to see more people and organizations standing against gender madness, and this will hopefully render the Democratic Party fully irrelevant. PJ Media's perpetual writing machine, Matt Margolis, discussed this prospect in a recent column that referenced how Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) railed against his own party for continuing to push a losing message nobody listens to anymore.

Also, I still hate golf.
