Leaks from the administration, Sunday raids canceled

When are these leakers going to be hunted down and punished? Anyone who is leaking information from the White House needs to be discovered and punished severely. It’s dangerous to have unelected bureaucrats deciding to influence policy by trying to embarrass the administration. It’s Trump’s fault that he hasn’t smoked out these activists and fired them or put them in an office with nothing other than a crossword puzzle and a pencil. You can’t fire these dirtbags because of the ridiculous union “job protection” rules, but you can add civil service reform to the top of the list of issues Trump should have addressed on day one.

In this case, word leaked out that the Trump administration was going to conduct a 10-city immigration raid on Sunday. The raid was to focus on migrants who have been denied asylum but have not left the country. It appears that leak came from Kevin McAleenan, Trump’s Homeland Security Secretary. Come on, man. Trump has picked the worst people to work in the administration and the clowns he hasn’t picked were picked by the establishment Republican industry who are not on board with his agenda. What a dumpster fire.

According to the Washington Examiner:

However, all five officials who spoke with the Washington Examiner confirmed McAleenan’s decision to go rogue and stymie the operation was what prompted the White House to call off the 10-city operation.

A third official claimed McAleenan “cares more about what liberals and ‘Never Trumpers’ in Congress and the media think of him than achieving the express mission of his department.”

Fire him.

Mo’ Money: Jared’s big, fat $50B Middle East plan

I already hate it. Kushner has a plan to create a fund, a $50B fund, to broker Middle East peace.

The Trump administration unveiled an unprecedented proposal Saturday to end the decades-long conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, offering to create a $50 billion fund to generate prosperity — and peace — throughout the Middle East.

The White House rolled out a suite of 179 business and infrastructure projects that presidential adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner will present to a gathering of Arab political and business leaders in Bahrain next week.

“This is going to be the opportunity of the century if they have the courage to pursue it,” Kushner told Reuters.

This is going nowhere fast. The Palestinians have already announced they will boycott the meeting. Jared seems to think the Palestinians care about infrastructure. They don’t. He thinks the Palestinians would be attracted to building up their economy like Israel has. That’s not their goal. Their goal is to wipe Israel off the map. Until the Palestinians get rid of their terrorist representation, nothing is going to change.

“It is impossible to buy the Palestinian people with all of these millions,” said Ahmad Tibi of the Israeli Arab Ta’al party.

Schiff to decide whether or not to subpoena Mueller

This punk Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said lawmakers will decide whether or not to subpoena Robert Mueller this week.

“We have been in private discussions with the special counsel’s office,” Schiff said. “I’d hope we reach this decision this week.”

“We’ll reach a final conclusion; either he’s going to come in voluntarily or we’re going to have to subpoena him.”

House Democrats have been squawking about dragging in Mueller but I’ll believe it when I see it. Mueller would have to answer Republican questions too and those optics won’t be good for the Democrats’ message.

This is the last week in June which means the Supreme Court is finishing up its session and preparing to drop the last of its decisions.

Eagerly awaited rulings in legal challenges to the proposed census question and a practice called partisan gerrymandering could have enduring effects on elections for seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and state legislatures.

Plenty of ink has been spilled about the census question issue. Opponents filed a lawsuit against the administration after the administration said it intends to ask if respondents are citizens. “The aim, these critics have said, is to engineer a deliberate undercount of places with high immigrant and Latino concentrations, costing Democratic-leaning areas seats in the House to the benefit of Republicans and non-Hispanic whites.” Prepare for a freakout if the left loses this case.
