The Media Thinks It Can Play the ‘Rape’ Card To Help Biden. But It Forgot Something.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Americans see Joe Biden as a senile old man who belongs in a nursing home, not occupying the most powerful office in the world. Meanwhile, his approval ratings are underwater, and he's losing to Trump in both national matchup polls and battleground state polls. If the election were held today, Trump would win easily.

So, the media seems to be pivoting toward playing the E. Jean Carroll card.

During an interview with Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) on ABC's "This Week," host George Stephanopoulos repeatedly tried to shame her for endorsing Donald Trump for president, even though "two separate juries have found him liable for rape and for defaming a victim of that rape," and then asked, "How do you square your endorsement of Donald Trump with the testimony we just saw?"

But, Mace wasn't about to let Stephanopoulos shame her for endorsing Trump.

"Well, I will tell you, I was raped at the age of 16, and any rape victim will tell you, I've lived for 30 years with an incredible amount of shame over being raped. I didn't come forward because of that judgment and shame that I felt," Mace told him. "And it's a shame that you will never feel, George, and I'm not going to sit here on your show and be asked a question meant to shame me about another potential rape victim. I'm not going to do that."

But Stephanopoulos continued to press her on the issue, and Mace aptly pointed out that E. Jean Carroll made a mockery of women by gloating about what she was going to do with all the money she got in the civil judgement.

There were plenty of other things that Mace could have pointed out. Like the biases of the judge and jury, or how Carroll was involved in the effort to get New York to pass the law to allow her to sue Trump, or the fact that legitimate questions have been raised about the veracity of E. Jean Carroll’s accusations, particularly questions about her ability to provide such sharp detail about the alleged incident despite not being able to remember other important details that would support her allegations—like the date it occurred. It’s also been pointed out that Carroll’s accusations are suspiciously similar to a plot from "Law and Order: SVU." In fact, they are ridiculously identical. Carroll’s claims allege the same crime at the same store, in the same location in the store. Carroll's own social media posts showed that she was an enthusiastic fan of Donald Trump and his show "The Apprentice" well after the fictional assault took place.

But Mace could have also thrown the question back at Stephanopoulos, and asked why Democrats and the mainstream media consistently ignore Joe Biden’s well-documented history of engaging in inappropriate behavior with young women, including young girls.

While E. Jean Carroll failed to provide any evidence to prove the assault, we have photographic and video evidence of Biden's inappropriate behavior. Mace could have also pointed out that the media ignored former Biden staffer Tara Reade's very credible allegations of sexual assault. Reade says that Joe Biden touched her inappropriately when she was a staffer in his Senate office back in 1993 and that Biden also sexually assaulted her. The credibility of her claims was boosted by the release of a clip from the "Larry King Live" show, during which her mother called in anonymously, asking the panel for advice on how to handle a situation with her daughter and a prominent U.S. senator.

The mainstream media has not only ignored all the evidence of Biden's inappropriate behavior with women and young girls but also ignored the fact that a former staffer of his has credibly accused him of sexual assault—and she has much more credibility than E. Jean Carroll.
