Bill Maher Defended Child Sex Abuse in 1998

Bill Maher is taking a victory lap, claiming he was instrumental in Milo Yiannopoulos’ downfall. But it seems as though Maher is guilty of defending sex with children. In 1998, on his ABC show, he was discussing the case of a Seattle schoolteacher who had sexual relations with her 12-year-old student and got pregnant by him, and Maher said, “She is in jail because she is in love. That’s how I view it.” When one of his guests said that the teacher had raped the student, he insisted, “Raped?… Come on!” Any sane person can determine that a 12-year-old is not capable of consenting.
