Days after the horrific attack in Manchester, England, do we really want President Trump to be demanding more money from our NATO allies? It would seem to me that now, more than ever, we need to rely on our foreign friends to aid in security efforts across the globe. But Secretary of State Tillerson suggested that Trump will still be pushing for his funding plan from our strongest military allies while he’s meeting with their leaders at a conference in Brussels, Belgium. Tillerson said, “You can expect the president to be very tough [on NATO].”

Also, Trump has completely flipped flopped on the NATO issue before. Once again realistic critics should be questioning whether his administration can create a stable foreign policy.
