Can We Even Take Democrat Senators Seriously Anymore?

Who knows if we ever could, but it is becoming increasingly impossible to take Democratic senators seriously as they make gaffes like these. In one minute on the Senate floor, Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA) said that we need to reform our healthcare system to include more “community-based hair” and held up a gigantic sign saying, “War on Medicad.” Now I’m not saying Republicans haven’t had their fair share of misspeaks, but if this is the best policy positioning you can put forward, your party is in trouble. Especially considering many have suggested that the Democrats have no real policy proposals, just whatever is anti-Republican.
