GOP Senator Says 'No Excuses' for Trump Admin. Officials Who Flew Private Charter Planes

Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) says there are “no excuses” for Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price and others within the Trump administration who used private charter planes, “playing the big shot on the taxpayers’ dime.” He used a wonderful colloquial phrase to describe this situation — “can’t put lipstick on this pig. It’s a pig.” According to Politico, “Price has flown 26 times on private aircraft since last May at a cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars.” We should note that these were not military charters (these were private charter planes), and that this type of travel was not authorized by the White House. And President Trump himself has said he’s “not happy” about this situation. Will Price be fired?
