I hate to say it, but Democrats have abused impeachment enough already that it’s practically become meaningless. They were talking about impeaching Trump before he was even elected in 2016, they impeached him twice without any actual justification, and, lo and behold, they’re talking about it again. At this point, the likelihood of the Democrats impeaching Trump again is 100% if they win back the House in 2026.
Their first impeachment over a perfect phone call with the president of Ukraine failed. Their second impeachment mere days before leaving office also failed. Now, apparently not satisfied with their previous embarrassments, they're back for more humiliation.
This is what happens when you don’t know how to govern and have no leadership. Frankly, the Democrats' obsession with impeaching President Trump couldn't get more ridiculous, yet they've managed to outdo themselves with a fresh batch of utterly laughable articles of impeachment.
The latest impeachment articles, introduced by Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-Mich.), demonstrate just how far the left has descended into Trump Derangement Syndrome. What exactly are they impeaching Trump for this time? Brace yourselves, because this is where it gets truly absurd.
Thanedar is actually claiming Trump should be impeached for "defying a unanimous 9-0 Supreme Court ruling" related to suspected MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was deported to El Salvador. Democrats, for some reason, want him returned to the United States.
“Donald Trump has already done real damage to our democracy, but defying a unanimous 9-0 Supreme Court ruling?” he said in a video posted to X. “That has to be the final straw. It's time we impeach Donald J. Trump. The courts say the wrongfully deported Kilmar Garcia must be allowed to return and receive due process. Trump ignored it. He ignored the Constitution. He ignored the very checks and balances that keep our democracy intact.”

This is where the Democrat hypocrisy reaches stratospheric levels. For one thing, we’ve already discussed how Trump hasn’t defied the Supreme Court by not bringing Abrego Garcia back. That said, if defying the Supreme Court were truly an impeachable offense, then Joe Biden would have been removed from office long ago when he blatantly ignored the Court's ruling on student loan forgiveness. Remember when the high court explicitly told Biden he couldn't unilaterally cancel hundreds of billions in student debt? Biden simply repackaged the same illegal program and pushed forward anyway.

But of course, Democrats aren't concerned with consistent application of principles. This is pure political theater designed to energize their increasingly disillusioned base ahead of upcoming elections. It's particularly striking when you consider the timing. The Democratic Party is getting destroyed in the polls, they have no leader, and Democrats are jockeying for relevance with various political stunts, and this random congressman that no one has ever heard of before is looking for his breakout moment.
And of course, he landed on “Let’s impeach Trump!”
This represents the left's disturbing pattern of weaponizing governmental powers against political opponents. From the Russia collusion hoax to the lawfare employed to stop Trump from returning to office, the playbook remains consistent: if you can't beat Trump at the ballot box, try to eliminate him through abusing the system.
