100 Days That Shattered the Media's Credibility

Since the moment President Donald Trump returned to the White House, the left has been spinning itself into an even greater frenzy than we saw in his first term. It’s now been 100 days since he took office, and, by the White House’s count, it’s also been 100 days of hoaxes from the fake news media.

Democrats and their lapdogs in the media are tripping over themselves pushing a nonstop parade of hoaxes, lies, and laughable disinformation. It would almost be entertaining if it weren’t so corrosive to the country. The Trump administration’s early record has been one of action, progress, and results — but you’d never know it from the tidal wave of fake news vomiting out of the left-wing echo chamber.

Some examples include the way CNN humiliated itself trying to “fact-check” Trump’s truthful claim about the Biden administration’s bizarre spending on transgender mice experiments, only to have to update its phony “fact check” once the truth got out that Trump was right. It wasn’t alone.

Some of the attacks on Trump were so transparently ridiculous and shameless that they almost defied belief, like Rep. Eric Swalwell’s claim that “no president” oversaw more plane crashes in his first month than President Trump. The allegation was completely false, but that didn’t stop Swalwell and others from pushing it anyway, and, of course, the claim went viral.

There are probably more disgusting smear jobs on the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) than we can count, but the pattern is always the same: lie first, retract quietly (if ever), and count on the American people not noticing. But under Trump 2.0, Americans are noticing — and they’ve had enough.

The fake ICE “raid” at a Chicago school? Totally false. The supposed “stranding” of astronauts that NPR tried to brush under the rug? Its own previous reporting exposed it. And how about Michael Moore’s psychotic suggestion that deported criminal illegal immigrants were going to cure cancer or stop an asteroid? Curiously, he never asked the same question about aborted children.

They never do.

The media’s pathological dishonesty has hit a level where they’ll amplify just about anything — no matter how absurd or blatantly false — as long as it serves their anti-Trump agenda. Take their coverage of Mahmoud Khalil, for example. They portrayed him as a harmless Columbia graduate student unjustly targeted for exercising his “rights,” conveniently omitting the fact that Khalil is a pro-Hamas agitator who led violent campus protests and isn’t even a U.S. citizen. An immigration judge already ruled that he could be deported, but you’d never know that from the media’s spin.

And let’s not forget the left’s favorite scare tactic: lying about Social Security. It didn’t matter how many times President Trump and his top officials made it crystal clear that Social Security, Medicare, and other vital programs are safe — Democrats and their media allies kept repeating the lie like it was gospel. When that didn’t stick, they tried to gin up outrage over supposed deportations, pretending that violent gang members were just humble “Maryland fathers” unjustly targeted.

And so on and so on.

By the White House’s count, there have been at least 60 different hoaxes that the mainstream media pushed over the past 100 days about Trump’s presidency.

There’s a reason the left is melting down. President Trump’s second term is proving to be an even bigger threat to its grip on power than the first. He’s cutting waste, rolling back the deep state, securing the border, and making government actually work for the American people. The Democrats and their fake news mouthpieces know they can’t beat him on the merits, so their only option is to manufacture fake scandals, pray they stick, and hope Americans aren’t paying attention.

Unfortunately for them, we are.
